Unpacking Immigration in Youths' Academic and Occupational Pathways

This article in the journal Child Development describes findings from a study on how immigration is associated with youths' educational choices during the transition to college and adulthood. Results indicated that the children of immigrants took more math and science courses than their peers with U.S.-born parents. Children of immigrants also reported higher social and economic aspirations than their peers.
